This was like a violent R18 version of Tarzan
meets Jane 😂
Overall, I quite liked it! As I'm saying this I realize Kersley Cole has
brainwashed me into taking this series as a guilty pleasure. SO GUILTY.
In all honesty though, despite my issues with the author's ways of portraying
romance, relying way too much on insta-lust, and making 80% of her main male
characters start out as abusive towards the female main character, I do so love
the action scenes. The author truly does an amazing job as making you shake
with nerves as all hell breaks loose in her books and the characters are in
dire situations. The action and drama is everything, honestly, and what makes
her books so addictive.
Well then, If I made it this far, I now feel compelled to finish this series!
“He'd swiftly collected those monsters' heads, tying them together with a piece of the rope she'd hoped never to see again, then strung them over his shoulder. Periodically, he offered his catch to her.
"No, no, I have a pair just like them at home," she'd said. "I would just regift them.”
