Most anticipated books of August 2016

August is upon us.
And with it, some of the most amazing books of the year!

It's been a long wait, but they're finally here.
And I'm SO excited to rave all about them with you!
Shall we?

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
                                              Coming out: August 2, 2016

I'm both terrified and excited of reading this book.
Does it make sense to you? If you've read at least one Colleen Hoover book (except for Maybe Someday), you probably understand.

Still, I'm going to pick this book up.
Whether I would actually be able to finish it or not... that remains to be seen.
I probably don't make much sense right now. I'm going to explain it all in a post I'm planning to make about 'Colleen Hoover's books - is there such a thing as too many feels?'

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
Coming out: August 11, 2016

Oh my god, the time is FINALLY upon us!

If you've been around my blog for a while, you probably know how obsessed I am with Nevernight and Gemina.
No? Well, you do now.

I can't even begin to describe my excitement in words.
Well, I have to admit though: it has been diminished a little after seeing some bloggers I follow really not liking this book.
After waiting for it for so long, after expecting of it so much, of course I would be terrified, now that the time is actually here, of not liking it.

But I'm not going to let my fear ruin it for me.
After all:
Never flinch.
Never fear.
Never forget.

Nevernight, here I come.

The Magnus Chase Book of Norse Deities and Mythical Creatures by Rick Riordan
Coming out: August 16, 2016

I don't know if I should call it a book, a short story or I don't know what.
I have no idea what it is, but I don't need any kind of motivation other than the words 'Rick Riordan'.
So as I wait for book 2 of The Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase, I guess I would pick this one up.

Unknown by Wendy Higgins
Coming out: August 16, 2016

Yeah, I know... the cover is not very appealing.
I'm one of those readers who tend to dislike covers with humans\faces on them.

So what is this book?
It's a NA-romance-Sci-fi-apocalyptic new series by Wendy Higgins.
Wendy Higgins is the author who wrote the Sweet Evil YA trilogy and the Eurona Duology (also YA). Yep, this is her first NA book.

The Sweet Evil trilogy was a rather enjoyable read - I enjoyed the writing style, the characters and the plot.
The first book in the Eurona Duology, however, I could not get into.
Which is why I want to give Wendy Higgins another chance with the Unknown.
I'm really hoping to like this one.

Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
Coming out: August 30, 2016

Can I just say: I love the cover!
It has something very fairy-tale like about it.
And I love fairy-tales.

Ever since finishing the Shatter Me trilogy last year, Tahereh Mafi has become an author I would pick up any book she writes.
And even though I didn't have amazing experiences with Middle Grade books (other than Percy Jackson and Artemis Fowl), it's Tahereh Mafi! Of course I'm going to read this book. No questions asked.

Quick update: I got the amazing chance of reading a sneak peek of Furthermore from Netgalley, and oh my goodness... I'm already loving it. It's so uniqe and so easy to dive straight into. I absolutely love Alice (our protagonist). Finishing the sneek peak was horrible because all I wanted was MORE. MORE. MORE.
I had my doubts, especially considering it's a MD book, but I honestly should never have doubted Tahereh Mafi's talent of writing.
I'm beyong excited! I can't wait for August 30! I want more!

I'm only saddened by the thought I won't be able to read this book in a physical copy and swoon all over this beautiful cover.

And those are my most anticipated books of August 2016!
Honestly, I'm frighteningly excited about them all.
And the first of them is coming out tomorrow!
*taking a deep breath*
There is nothing better than picking up an anticipated book.
or scarier.
Well then, what do you think of this list? Have anything to add?
What are your most anticipated books this month?
Tell me all about it, so we can freak out together.
Until then...
