I give you... the alphabet book tag!
The picture, by the way, is from the musical Matilda.
After hours of desperate search for a fitting picture, I suddenly remembered the pictures I saw for this play while doing The Musical book Tag.
All I had to do was use a quick online photoshop and voila.
I love this picture. It makes me want to see the musical.

So. I was tagged for this tag by the lovely Esther from Chapter Adventures (thank you Esther!).
The rules?
Basically, you need to fill each letter on the alphabet with a book you read or a book that's on your TBR.
Then, you mark the books you read with: ✓ .
Then, you mark the books you read with: ✓ .
Even though this tag is simple and not really thought-provoking, I find it important. Why? This tag is a great way to introduce you to books I read\want to read that I hardly ever mention on the blog. We bloggers do have a tendency to talk all about our most favorite books while accidentally forgetting there are so many other books we read.
Which is why now I'm going to mention all the books I never\hardly mentioned on the blog before.
Ready?
Let's go!

Let's go!
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan
The End of Oz by Danielle Paige
Journey's End by Rachel Hawkins
LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff
The Queen of All That Dies by Laura Thalassa
Rules of Thieves by Alexandra Ott
Age of X by Richelle Mead (I know, I know, it doesn't begin with the letter. Weirdly, I couldn't find anything else)
You Don't Know My Name by Kristen Orlando
Who do I tag?
1. Erika from Books & Stars and the Pages In Between
2. Lauren from Wonderless Reviews
3. Seashell from The Chronicles of a Book Maniac
And, of course, all my other blogger friends - and random blogger strangers - are welcome to do this tag.
And to those I tagged - you can feel free to do or not to do this tag as you wish (:

And yet, there are so many books still not mentioned.
Well, we can never expect to mention them all, can we?
I did try my best to mention the one I least mentioned\not at all on Magiverse.
Some, I liked. Some, I loved. And some, not so much.

But that's the point of this tag - to talk all about the books that are left forgotten in the face of our favorite ones.
What do you say? Have you read any of these books?
You know I always love to hear your thoughts! (:

Until then...
"Sometimes Matilda longed for a friend, someone like the kind, courageous people in her books."
-- Matilda, Roald Dahl
Thanks for the tag!!
ReplyDeleteI really want to read The Martian! I've been hearing a lot about The Kiss of Deception too. I'm so excited for LIFEL1K3 even though it's not being released forever, haha.
Sorry for the double comment! I was signed into the wrong account and didn't realise haha.
DeleteThe Martian is so funny! Which sounds weird, considering it's about a guy who is stuck all alone of Mars, but it is.
DeleteIt's not my usual kind of read but I ended up *really* enjoying it. I hope you will too! (:
Same with The Kiss od Deception for me. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The only problem is that I just couldn't get into the second book in the trilogy. *sigh*.
Yep, LIFEL1K3 is coming out in... oh, forever or so. But it'll be SO worth it, I'm sure :D
My plessure, Lauren ^__^
LOL. I noticed... It's okay :D
DeleteI love your dedication in linking all of the titles to Goodreads - top job. And so many great books here!! Caraval sounds amaaaaaazing, can't wait to get my hands on that one!
ReplyDeleteIt took a lot of time but it was worth it :D
DeleteThank you, Emily! You're really fast... I literally just commented on your amazing Nevernight review (:
I know, right? Caraval sounds awesome! But first things first, I need to get my hands on Nevernight or I'll go crazy '^^
First of all, A+ for using Matilda's photo. You know any musical reference will win me over, eh? Keeping your readers happy hahah
ReplyDeleteThat musical has very touching and incredible songs. You can listen to the Tony's performance and be awed at the talent the kids have. It was lovely and I wish I could see it in real life.
As for the tag, you found a Q book! I went like half an hour looking for one! Your trick with X and Z was actually pretty smart :P
How did you like Poison Study? I've been meaning to read it for a while. It looks awesome.
A+ ? Why thank you ;)
DeleteAh yes, I know all about your weakness to musicals. You see? I exploit it well *wink-wink*
How didn't I think about it before?
I'm going to listen to those songs! I hope to love them (:
You know... I never seen a musical in real life. Did you?
Ah yes, kids these days are ridiciously talented :O
Finding a book for X and Z was an impossibility (I thank you kidnly for admiring my efforts :D As someone who did this tag, you understand the difficulty of this the best). Q gave me a real hard time, too. It was a miracle I found one eventually. Honestly, I spent on this tag even more time than I spend on writing a discussion post '^^ . It looks like an innocent tag but don't be fooled (!).
Oh, I really enjoyed the Poison Study trilogy! It was something else. Not at all the usual fantasy kind of book. When I read this trilogy at the beginning of last year, I literally flew through these books. They were addictive. I couldn't get enough. I can't make promises you'll love it, but I highly recommend it ^__^
I have only seen three live musicals: Chicago, Cabaret and Godspell. They were all in my country, so they were in Spanish and I couldn't sing along to them, but they were so much fun. I loved them. There have been other productions, but I haven't been able to go see them. The best part is that they usually are in November, which is my birthday month :)
DeleteI know, right!? It was so much harder than expected. It looks like an old plain list, but it's more than an hour on searching through Goodreads hahah
I'm so glad you loved that trilogy. I hope I like it too :D
Your birthday is in November?
DeleteI shall remember this detail. Or at least I'll try to. I have a bad memory sometimes '^^
Ah, so you've seen a few musicals.
Good for you! I hope you'll have the chance to see more in the future!
Yep, this tag is very decieving! (:
This sounds like such a fun tag! Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! :)
ReplyDelete~ Zoe @ Stories on Stage
It's really fun! But don't be fooled because this tag was actually surprisingly very challenging to do. Who knew it was so hard to find books to certain letters? '^^
DeleteThank you so much for your comment, fellow Zoe :D
Impressive Zoey! I LOVE Graceling and I'm SO excited for Caraval :) Also thought The Avery Shaw experiment was super cute.
ReplyDeleteEmily @ Reader Rising
Hey, Emily (:
DeleteI haven't met anyone who read - much less loved - Graceling! This book was amazing. I used to re-read it a lot in the past.
And oh yes to Caraval. I'm super-duper excited about this book. Especially since *so many* people seemed to have loved it. Can't wait!
And the Avery Shaw Expiriment - another book I hardly see anyone who read it! Cute and funny are the best ways to describe it. I loved it (:
Thank you so much, Emily! :D
This looks like such a fun tag! Thanks a bunch for tagging me, and I hope to get it done asap :)
ReplyDeleteDon't be fooled, though, because this tag is actually very challenging, despite its appearance ;)
DeleteMy pleasure ^^
You don't have to do this tag if you don't want to, of course. But if you do: good luck, and I'm looking forward to seeing it (:
