My first disucssion. I'...Aww, thank you :')
My first disucssion. I'm *so* glad you liked it!

Ah yes, the passion for music is one I know all too well.
I love getting lost in music. You'll rarely find me without my headphones on. I practically listen to music all the time.

You used to sing? That's amazing. I don't really sing. My passion for music comes in the forms of hearing it and playing it (on the piano).
Books and music go together with me. It really depends on what book I read\my mood for me to listen to music while reading the book. Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, it doesn't. But when it does... it's magical.

Whoa, I never heard of any of those bands. Well, expect for Paramore - I do like some of their songs.
I don't think we have the same taste in music, but I will check out some of the bands you mentioned. I always love finding out new singers\bands to let myself get lost in their music.

I was so glad to hear from your, Irena! And so many times, as well :D
I loved reading your comments. They brought a smile to my face ^^ Zoey Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999029471105415165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-39733401479962716302016-07-15T14:01:37.275+03:002016-07-15T14:01:37.275+03:00First of all - your post is beautiful.
Second of a...First of all - your post is beautiful.
Second of all, to give my answers to your questions, I never listen to music while reading (exception here is me reading in a public place or while on bus if I have to travel somewhere), but I love, love music.
For most of my life I always loved music more then anything. but now I actually love books a bit more, but music is still my passion.
I love listening to music more then making it or singing, even if that wasn't the case before (I adored singing and was often on some competitions when I was younger), but now, there's nothing better then to just lose yourself in great melody.
My favorite playlists are often those from 2005-2010 soundtracks, like One Tree Hill and O.C. and Smallville.
I always liked that music the bast, better then what's popular now, even if I like today's music too.
My favorite bands are The Kooks, Yellowcard, The All-American Rejects, Paramore, You Me At Six.
I only recently (because I live under a rock) found out about band called Parachute and I can't even tell you how sorry I am for not knowing about them before, because that would probably be my favorite band back in the days. But I can unjoy their music now at least.Irena BookDustMagichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16835858230598859010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-30655174330754517582016-07-10T08:36:56.078+03:002016-07-10T08:36:56.078+03:00I love playing the piano. I only recently started (yep, I'm a beginner), but I'm already absolutely enthralled with it.
Music and books and disappearing into other worlds - exactly. That's exactly it (:
School, huh? Don't worry, it doesn't last forever (even though it feels this way). As someone who finished high school last month, I'm speaking from expirience ;)

Thank you so much, Claire! I was *so* glad to to see your comment and talk to someone who feels the same about books and music ^^ . Not because I don't like them, but because... well, I just don't get to watch them.
When I think of a musical, my mind immediately jumps to that one musical I loved when I was very young - High School musical. The notalgia (:
I have listened to a few Hamilton songs, and my favorite is Burned - I just really love that song (!).
Well, don't worry,,, I don't listen to what's "hot" either. I just listen to what clicks with me. If musicals and Jazz is you - then that's great!

I get it. It's like reading when someone is talking to you - you can't concentrate. An insteumental music, on the other hand, would be much better while reading (:

Thank you for your lovely comment! I was so glad to read it :D Zoey Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999029471105415165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-86681318726173925352016-07-10T04:23:44.909+03:002016-07-10T04:23:44.909+03:00I love this post because reading and music are two...I love this post because reading and music are two of my greatest passions. I play piano and although I don't consider myself a 'good' player and I am completely unable to practice during the school year, I find comfort in playing a familiar tune or two during the summer to de-stress after attacking summer homework, working on the blog, or just a long day in general. Reading offers me a similar sensation-- I can disappear into a different world temporarily to escape the stresses of my life around me, at least during the summer (ah, school 😅). Lovely post!:)

✨ Claire @ Cover to CoverClairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08103704290284308846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-78633418168683438592016-07-09T21:04:39.339+03:002016-07-09T21:04:39.339+03:00This is such a lovely post. I kept thinking about a song, which is funny: "I wrote some notes at the beginning of a song someone will sing for me. America, you great unfinished symphony, you sent for me" (from Hamilton, have you heard it?). I love love love love musicals, most of the songs I hear are from them because they have another layer of emotion that comes from the story of the play and the characters and, at the same time, they all have something I can relate to. I hear other stuff too of course, but overall I don't know that much about music and what's "hot" or not. I'm always late for the hits haha. I like old timey stuff too, especially jazz.

Sadly, I can't listen to music when I read. Sometimes I put a classical song and it's fantastic, other times I can't even read a word that way. Songs with lyrics? Impossible when reading. My brain can't multitask like that haha.

Great post Zoey, loved it.Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07654098715125463797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-87997635814821105602016-07-08T22:51:56.435+03:002016-07-08T22:51:56.435+03:00Why, thank you :')

Thank you, Erika :'D
*collecting myself before I burst into tears of joy*
Ah, yes... magical is the best word to describe this feeling. Because if magic is real, then it must be how it feels like; when you read a good books, when you hear a song that just clicks with something inside you.
It's the best feeling in the world.
I'm so happy to talk about it and share it with people who feel the same way.

Thank you, Erika! You just made my not-so-good day (because we all have those sometimes), to a great day :D
It's the first time someone described something I wrote as 'creative' and 'brilliant' *bursting into tears of joy! Sorry, couldn't help myself*. Taking into consideration that I'm going to sound overly dramatic, I'll just say that: I'll cherish this forever (: Zoey Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999029471105415165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-51171974133611509922016-07-08T22:33:11.465+03:002016-07-08T22:33:11.465+03:00I absolutely loved this post! Books and music are ...I absolutely loved this post! Books and music are my two great passions, too. They are all so magical, and just lets you FEEL. And there are tons of songs/types of music and books out there, so you'll never run out! No matter the mood, there's always a book or a song that will make the moment better :)
I really love how you mended music and books together in your post! The analogy of hearing the melody and of keys unlocking emotions is so creative and brilliant!Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06763730567652893251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7181191856672709259.post-83018492895410776582016-07-08T19:48:58.909+03:002016-07-08T19:48:58.909+03:00Ah, yes, I know what you mean. I put on a playlist while reading, and when the playlist is over, I'm already so into the book that I can't bring myself to turn on the music again ^^
Thank you!
